There are lots of birthdays coming up in the Pringle house.
First up: the newest members of the brood, Celia and Clara. They are not identical twins. The do really resemble each other in the face, but they have different color hair. Clara has brown hair, and Celia had blonde. This makes Celia the first to have inherited her mother's hair color.

"We're not babies anymore!" Clara says, seemingly shocked by this development.
"You're right! Look at us. We're BIG!" Celia realizes.
"You know what that means?" Clara asks.
"We can play?"

"Oh yeah! We're awesome now!"
Up next is Ana herself. She decides not to really have a party, but her new best friend, Tina, won't allow Ana to spend her birthday alone. She's there when she blows out the candles and ages up.

"It's not really a big deal, Ana. Age is just a number. Plus you've got plenty of kids to keep you young." Tina gives her some encouragement.
Then the two women enjoy themselves some cake while the kids are at school.

"Girl, I don't know how you do it. Seven kids. And I feel like I have my hands full with just two. And Sasha is already grown, so really I just have Jeremy."
"Well, Aaron doesn't even live here anymore, and Bridget is practically grown. Her birthday is right around the corner."
"Ana, that's still a lot of kids. Give yourself a big pat on the back for not being completely crazy having raised all these kiddos. And you better be making time to take care of you."
"Yes ma'am."
"I won't have none of that "ma'am" business, now. You nearly as old as me. Today was your birthday, remember?"

Ana might like to tease Tina, but she has to admit the woman gives great advice. Really she hasn't been taking too good of care of herself since Arthur passed away. She vows to change that starting now. She does have a little more time to spend on things just for her now that there aren't any babies in the house.
Her jogs become a daily routine again, and she's actually starting to enjoy them.

Ana isn't really looking forward to Bridget's birthday, because that means another of her babies will soon be ready to leave her. But she wants it to be a happy day for her daughter.
So when Bridget comes home from her last day of school with this look on her face....

...Ana heart breaks just a little bit.
"Bridget, baby, what's wrong?" Ana asks.
"Jeremy and I broke up." Bridget is not crying, but clearly devastated nonetheless. "But according to him we were never 'official' anyway."

Bridget doesn't tell her mother the whole story. Truthfully she had heard a rumor about Jeremy messing around with another girl from school.
When she asked him about it he admitted to it and said, "It's not like we were exclusive. You didn't think we were did you? I mean, we never made it official. Plus, you're graduating so...."
Bridget had thought they were exclusive, but now that he pointed it out she realizes they never actually talked about that. She had just assumed. But she feel really betrayed that he would do such a thing. She had thought he cared about her.

Ana comforts her baby the best she knows how. This is definitely not something either of them had expected.
Ana decides to bake Bridget an extra special birthday cake. And luckily the simplest things tend cheer Bridget up. They both know it doesn't really fix anything, but it brightens up the moment at least.

Ana feels a moment of panic just before Bridget blows out the candles. In that moment she wishes she could hold on to her baby for just a little longer.
She quickly composes her face before Bridget notices, because she doesn't want anything else to put a damper on the day.

So Ana toots a horn and helps celebrate Bridget's coming of age. The day is far from perfect, but at least main event was cheerful.
Bridget's heart is not miraculously healed by a fancy cake, but she's strong just like her mother. And with a little time and the right attitude she'll be just fine.

If you remember, Ana had hoped that Celia and Clara's birthday would bring about a change in Brandon.
Unfortunately the little girls seem to be so attached to each other that they have little time or attention to spare for anyone else.
At least this gives Ana a little more time to spend with Brandon. And he does seem a little happier lately.

But he does still spend lots of time off playing by himself. Maybe that's just part of his personality, but Ana wants to make sure he really is happy. Maybe a visit or two with his older brother and maybe even "uncle" Ken would do Brandon some good.
