"The garden is coming along nicely. It's really looking great. The garden boxes were a good idea." Chad notes as he joins Brandon in their backyard.
"Yeah... now if I could just stop the darn weeds from taking over the carrots we'd be set." Brandon replies.
"Oooo! I just had an idea! Do you think the carrots will be ready by Saturday?" Chad asks enthusiastically. "I could make a carrot cake cupcakes to take to the barbeque."
"They might be. They're getting close." Brandon says. Then he adds, "You just want to make carrot cake, because it's you know who's favorite, don't you."

Chad laughs at that. "You know me so well, don't you?"
"Uh huh." Brandon says. "Let's got sit down. I could use a little rest."
"I bet. You've been out here since before the girls woke up this morning." Chad remarks as he follows Brandon to the bench.
"Speaking of which... what are they up to right now." Brandon asks.

"They're having a tea party with all their stuffed animals. I'm supposed to be getting the "scones" -- really it's just some leftover birthday cake -- but I figure I've got a few more minutes before they notice I haven't came back yet." Chad says, then returns to the previous topic. "So carrot cake is Celia's favorite, right?"
Brandon nods his head in answer.
"And Clara's favorite is red velvet?" he verifies.
Brandon nods again.
"I wasn't sure if I remembered that right or if I just made it up. So I guess I could make some of both... if the carrots are ready by then. You know, I've never made carrot cake cupcakes before. I'm sure I can find a good recipe for them, though. Maybe I'll make a practice cake tomorrow. I'll have to go buy some carrots for that I suppose. But they'll like the cupcakes don't you think?"
Brandon nods yet again.

"Maybe we should bring them some flowers too. I know that I know their favorite flowers by now. So I can pick up some Daisies for Clara and Lilies for Celia Saturday morning before we head over to your parents' place."
Brandon just looks at Chad as he goes on about it.

"What?" Chad finally asks. Brandon laughs just a little.
"It's just that... well, don't you ever think you might be going over board trying to show them how thankful you are... how thankful we both are? I just think that you trying to give them little gifts every time we see them might be a bit overwhelming." Brandon says.
"Are we talking about the same Clara and Celia? I've never heard them mention wanting people to give them less things. They love being the royal treatment, and you know it."
Brandon laughs again. "Okay, I'll give you that. But could you at least try to not drown them in flowers?"

"You might have a little bit of a point, I suppose. The girls will be starting school soon. Watcher, I can't believe it's been that long since those crazy sisters of yours offered to be the solution to our problem finding a donor/surrogate... Our wallets probably wouldn't survive this amount of gift giving for long once the girls start getting a little older. I guess I don't need to give them things every single time we see them for the rest of our lives."
"Not unless they find out you called them crazy." Brandon jokes.
"Very funny. You better not tell them... How about if I just bring the cupcakes and forget about the flowers for this weekend? I already told Ana I would bring a desert."
