Aaron likes to pretend that he is too cool for playing with his baby sister. He frequently says how much he wishes he had a brother instead. Or he complains that Bridget is boring because she can't do anything.
But what he doesn't know is that his mother has seen him when he thinks no one is looking. One of his favorite games is peek-a-boo. Ana has even overheard Aaron telling baby Bridget that he will always look out for her, that it's his job as her big brother.
Knowing this, Ana is pretty sure of how Aaron will take the news of being a big brother for a second time. But she is still a little nervous when she sits him down to tell him the big news.

"Guess what, Aaron? You're going to have another baby brother or sister soon. I'm pregnant. What do you think about that?"
"I guess that's okay, as long as it's a boy." And after a moment of consideration. "Is that why you look so fat?"
Ana takes it in stride, after all her belly is getting very big very fast again this pregnancy. She knows to expect the unexpected at this point when it comes to the things that Aaron says. Kids do say the darnedest it seems. Another thing she knows to expect with Aaron...questions. Lots of questions
So she isn't surprised in the least when he takes to following her around the house, asking away.

"When are you gonna have the baby?... Can we have a boy this time, please?... Can you feel the baby inside you?... Say, how did the baby get inside your belly anyway?"
Luckily for Ana, Aaron is pretty easily distracted. So to avoid answering some of the more awkward questions while he is so young, she simply suggest that he go watch his favorite cartoon program.
So all in all Ana is pretty happy at the moment. She's growing the family she always wanted. She has a man who seems perfectly happy with their arrangement. The only slight problem she has had with Arthur is the fact that he always wants to give her money in some way or another. But Ana stubbornly wants to remain as independent as possible. She would never deny him buying things for his daughter. But she is adamant about providing for herself and her kids herself. She doesn't just want things given to her.

So she continues churning out her paintings. She's painting as much as she possibly can lately, because she really would like to add on to the house again. She also hopes to remodel parts of the existing house.
After she falls asleep beside her easel one night, though, Ana decides she might be pushing herself a little hard and vows to take better care of herself and her unborn child. She does have enough room for now, no need to kill herself trying to make enough money for the remodel. She will save the money, but she can slow down just a bit.
If only money and sleep deprivation were Ana's only problems.
Ana is thankful that Mitchell hasn't tried to put the moves on her since his last failed attempt, but he does continue to visit Aaron every once in a while. Unfortunately none of his visits have went any better than the first.

No matter what Aaron says or does, his dad always seems angry at him. And he mopes around the house for a while after every one of his dad's visits.
During his most recent visit, Mitchell got angry, because he didn't like Aaron's tone of voice. Well Aaron was already pretty mad at his dad, because Mitchell had broken yet another promise to him.
Aaron completely snapped at his dad. "I hate you! I wish you weren't my father!!! I wish Arthur was my dad"
"What you need is a spanking!" Mitchell yelled, reaching for Aaron.
"What you need is a spanking!" Mitchell yelled, reaching for Aaron.
Ana normally tries to give Aaron a little time with his father without hovering over them, but she often listens from the other room. She, of course, heard this argument. When she comes out to put a stop to it, she see's Mitchell grab Aaron's arm and jerk him around about to hit him. And that's when mama-bear's claws come out.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!!!! Aaron, go to your room please! I need to have a word alone with your father."
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!!!! Aaron, go to your room please! I need to have a word alone with your father."
"Don't you dare lay a finger on that boy ever again! What the hell is wrong with you? Seriously I want to know!! That boy does nothing but try to make you like him. So why do you insist on coming over here when you do nothing but hurt him?! Do us all a favor and just stay away!!"
And with that she kicks Mitchell out of her house for what she sincerely hopes will be the last time.
When Arthur comes over to visit later that evening, Ana is still in a bad mood from the events of the day.

When Arthur comes over to visit later that evening, Ana is still in a bad mood from the events of the day.
But Arthur, being Arthur, charms Ana into a better mood. He starts dancing, dancing badly to be precise. And he keeps dancing until Ana laughs and joins in.
While they are both still showing off their lamest dance moves, Arthur asks, "So now that your a little less tense, do you want to tell me what's on your mind?"

So Ana tell him the whole story. "What do you think I should do?"
"Well, first of all, I hope Mitchell takes your advice and stays away. Second, I know a very good lawyer that can help you if Mitchell needs a little more convincing to stay away. Maybe when Aaron is a little older he can decide for himself whether he wants his dad to be in his life or not. Third I think you stopped dancing, and I think you should start dancing again."
"Oh, Arthur. You are the best."
"I know. Now dance with me."

"Come here you big goof ball. Give me a hug."
