Being a mother comes pretty easy to her...
With her eye twitching, Ana asks Mitchell to leave as politely as she can manage. Limiting herself to two thinly veiled insults is polite, right?
But no, it's just Ken.
"Guess who I am? I'm wearing a tux, I'm a big buffoon, and my name rhymes with Bitch--ell."
Ken says he couldn't resist making fun of the "buffoon" after he saw Mitchell wearing a tux at the bar the night before. Apparently he's taken to wearing the thing, because he thinks it'll help him pick up women.
Unfortunately, Ana doesn't look very amused. Too soon?
He doesn't stay long, because he can tell Ana is pretty tired. So he leaves after getting the baby to sleep, hoping Ana can now get some rest.
But Ana didn't tell Ken she was expecting one more visitor a little later that day.
What if he doesn't like them? He's such a respected art critic......
And when he asks her what she plans to do with the money, she tells him about her need to add on to the house to give Aaron his own room, one day...hopefully not too far in the future. She's sure he'll be out-growing that small crib in the corner of her room in practically no time.
At this, Arthur says he happens to know a contractor. "My wife and I used him, when we added on to our house when Kenny, my son, was a baby."
Before she can stop herself Ana asks, "Wife? So you're..."
"We divorced about ten years ago. She got beach house. I got the one in Oasis Springs. And I got full custody of Kenny which is really what I cared most about. She could have taken both houses and my money for all I cared as long as she didn't take my son. The money is what she cared most about anyway."
Come to Mama!
But she isn't very successful at hiding how tired she is. Arthur can hardly fail to notice that she's moving a bit more sluggish every time she walks to the bedroom to check on Aaron and back.
Not to mention Ana looks positively slap happy.
So Arthur says his goodbyes before it is dark out, and telling Ana to call him if she needs anything.
