The next morning the first order of business for everyone is a trip to the restroom. Everyone needs to use the facilities, and everyone needs to shower.
Not wanting to wait in line, the family wakes up early and hurries toward the restrooms. Hopefully they'll beat the morning rush.
"Guys! Wait up! My legs can't move any faster!" Emma calls as she falls behind in the final stretch. But she arrives shortly after.
"Alright everyone has on their shower-shoes, right?" Ana asks looking around.
"Mom, do we really want to take a shower somewhere that we need wear shoes?" Clara asks. Clearly she's no more thrilled by the thought of showering here than she was by the fish being roasted the night before.

"Trust me, Clara, if there was any other option we wouldn't, because I'm not exactly looking forward to this either. But they don't sell Showers in a Can." Ana answers.
Eventually everyone did get cleaned up, as they one by one tip-toed in the public showers. Afterwards they all headed back to camp for some breakfast and to finish getting ready for the day ahead.
"What'd you cook for breakfast, Mom?" Celia asks as she joins the others at the picnic table.
"Some simple grilled fruit. Come and sit. There's a plate here for you." Ana tells her. Then, as Celia climbs onto the seat beside her, "What in the world is on your feet, girl?"

"They're cute boots that Clara and I found at the mall the other day. She has a pair too. See?"
"Well... Yes. They are very cute, but sweetie they're not very practical. You do know we're going hiking today, don't you? After breakfast I want the two of you to go change your shoes to something more appropriate for exploring the forest."
With surprisingly little complaints the twins did just that. Maybe they realized, for once, that their mom had a very good point.

"Is this better? How do I look?" Clara asks her mom after they had changed their shoes as told.
"You both look perfect!" Ana tells them. "Now that everybody's ready, let's go!" And they head over to the national park.
