Life is busy, but it also has never been better. Ana can't remember a period of time she has been so happy. There's a lot that has been going on.
First up, Brandon's birthday. The whole group is very enthusiastic at Brandon's birthday party. Everyone cheers him on as he becomes a teenager.

As a teen Brandon is still very much a loner, but he's comfortable in his own skin. He knows what he likes, and what he likes is spending time by himself. He also takes up gardening. Solitude and the great out doors is all he asks for in life.
The elder twins in the house have their birthday not long after Brandon.
And they are already talking about finding their own place.
The girls' birthday is also approaching. But Ana is very thankful that for even a short while longer Celia and Clara can just be kids.

Bridget has already moved out, but she still comes over on a daily basis to jog with her mother. Ana is glad that her kids are showing her that they'll always be around even after they reach an age that they don't need her much anymore.
All the happiness must be contagious, because Ana hears the news that Ken and Sasha (Tina's daughter) have eloped and are expecting a baby.
Plus Ana's relationship with Osmond is still going strong.
All and all life is perfect.
So why is it that when everything is going right, life tends to throw you a curve ball?
Ana gets a call from a strange number one day. It is a social worker who informs her that her only living cousin has just passed away. Terrible news to receive, for sure, but Ana had never been close to her cousin. So this isn't necessarily life changing news until she hears the cause of the cousin's death.
Apparently she died from complications after childbirth. Here's where Ana's life is about to change. The baby's father doesn't want the child and wishes to give her up for adoption. The social worker is calling Ana, the only other living relative, as a last hope to keep the baby from going into foster care.
Ana being the kind-hearted, and child loving Sim that she is agrees to take in the baby.

This is how baby Dani came to be with Ana's family.
The moment Ana holds Dani in her arms for the first time she knows she'll love the girl as her own.
Ana finalized the adoption papers, so Dani is now legally her daughter.
This has all been very unexpected. Ana has never thought about adoption before, but she is determined to provide a happy home for baby Dani. She is a little worried about how Osmond will take the news, but he is actually fantastic. He's never really been around kids, so he lacks a little confidence in handling the newborn. But the important thing is he is supportive.
The arrival of Dani in all their lives has kept Ana busy enough that she loses track of the days. Before she knows it the day that Ben and Blake moving out has arrived.

Ana is again a little sad to see her babies leave, but if Aaron and Bridget are any example she will still be seeing plenty of Blake and Ben.
And Ana has Osmond to lean on now. He's turning out to be a real source of comfort and stability.
