While Ana is painting one day, Aaron surprises her by bringing up something she knew was coming, but she had hoped it wouldn't come so soon.
"Mom, you have a minute? I wanted to talk to you about something."
"Sure, sweetie. What's on your mind?"
"Sure, sweetie. What's on your mind?"
"Well, I've been working hard at the restaurant for a while now. I'm making decent money now, and I've sort of been thinking about getting my own place. What do you think?"
Ana does her best to keep the smile on her face. Of course she wants her son to be happy and live a healthy, independent life, but she still feels the tugging on her heartstrings at the thought of her baby leaving the nest. "Oh, I'm so proud of you. Have you starting looking yet?"
"Actually, I've done more than that. I've found a place already."
Ana definitely wasn't expecting that. "Already?" She may have let her sadness seep into her voice a little then.
"It just happened so fast. I can move in at the beginning of the month. I'm sorry I didn't talk to you about earlier."
She can tell just how much this means to him. She can feel the excitement he has, so Ana puts on the best performance she can. "Oh, I'm so happy for you!!" And truly she was happy for him; she would just miss seeing him every day.

Aaron's remaining days in the house fly by.
"Come here, squirt." Aaron says to Blake. "You know, I'm sure gonna miss you when I move out."
"Do you really have to leave tomorrow?" asks his little brother.
"Yes, but don't worry. I'll come to visit all the time."

His last night at home he spends playing with his younger siblings.
The next morning Brandon sits down beside Aaron on the couch and gives him a hug without saying a word. His youngest brother is a little shy. Aaron hugs him back, hoping he'll be able to get to know the little guy a bit better even though he won't be living there anymore.
As he is loading some of the boxes in the car, he hears Bridget calling.
"Hey, loser," She teases him just as he usually teases her. "Let's commemorate the moment. It's a big day." So Aaron poses for a picture with his little sister.

"Mom, that's the last of it."
Ana knows it's time to say goodbye. She just hopes she can hold back her tears until he has left. She doesn't want to ruin his big day.

"I guess I better get going." First he says goodbye to his soon to be sibling. He has always had the cute habit of talking to Ana's belly while she's pregnant.
Then he says goodbye to his mom, and he gives her a great, big hug. Ana is pretty sure she sees a tear in his eye.
All too soon the hug is over, and he's walking out the door. Ana's first baby has left the nest. She does cry a little that night, but she doesn't have much time for feeling mopey. She has to get the nest ready for the new addition that will be coming soon.
Ana never did find a way to get in touch with her one-night-stand. She just hopes she will run into him in town one day. He has the right to know.
Ana swears each pregnancy she has had goes by more quickly that the last. In what seems like no time at all, Ana feels the telltale signs of labor.

For the second time she is surprised when the doctor tells her there are not one, but two babies.
