On the last morning of their camping trip the Pringles all sleep in. After two days of waking up extra-early plus all of the drama of Dani's temporary disappearance yesterday, everyone was just plain tired.
When everyone finally does crawl out of their tents they decide to skip the showers today, since their headed home later anyway. They can avoid the unappealing public showers and just wait to use their nice familiar bathrooms at home.
The only thing they plan on doing today before heading home is relaxing around one last campfire. Nothing too exciting, but that's fine with them all. They've had enough exploration for one trip.

After the fire is lit Dani finally reveals why she was so determined to find some beetles yesterday. She's going to roast them and eat them for lunch. She had seen the "recipe" in a brochure, and was curious to try it. Clara is not impressed with Dani's cuisine.
Honestly no one is very excited about the beetles, except for Dani. Luckily Ana had some supplies to cook up something different for everyone else. But still just the idea of watching Dani eat those things is enough to make Ana's stomach turn.
Though, after facing the possibility of losing her child yesterday, Ana is happy to let Dani do whatever she wants today. Just as long as it doesn't involve going on a solo hike.
But as it turns out, roasting beetles isn't as safe an activity as Ana originally thought. Just as Ana is setting down to enjoy her lunch (at the picnic table, facing away from the fire, so she doesn't have to watch the beetle roasting/eating) she hears a shout.

Somehow the flames from the fire have lit Dani's shirt and right shoe ablaze.
It happens so fast that it is a moment before Brandon, who is sitting closest to Dani realizes what is going on. But when he does, he tosses aside his stew and helps Dani.
Luckily they get the flames put out quickly and Dani doesn't seem to have any major burns.

"Mom, I don't think I like camping anymore." She says weakly.
"Oh! Was that another spark? I'm getting away from the fire. Mom, do you have an extra bowl of stew?"
And so they all settle back in to their lunches. But only after Osmond puts the fire out all together saying, "Just to be on the safe side. We don't want anymore excitement during this trip, I think."

"Dani, I'm glad you didn't get all burned up." Emma says as they eat. The younger girl can't seem to take her eyes off her singed sister.
"Me too!" Dani agrees wholeheartedly.
"Yeah. No one else fixes my hair as pretty as you do." Emma adds.

"Emma Kate Pringle! I cannot believe you just said that." Ana says shocked.
"No it's okay, Mom. I know she doesn't just love me for my braiding skills." Dani says. "Do you know what I'm most upset about, Em?"
"What?"
"I'm kind of bummed that my beetles got burnt to a crisp, but I'm just glad I didn't. But look at me, I'm gonna have to make another trip to those yucky public showers again before we leave."
"Eeww!" inputs Clara from where she's sitting.
