Ana has had a lot going on in her laugh. She's surrounded by her big, loving family. That includes the newest adopted member, Dani. She has a fantastic love life now. She and Osmond truly have a great relationship. She loves her life.
She has managed to thrive in spite of some pretty major bumps in the road. So she isn't phased when she finds out that Osmond has managed to knock her up. It is a surprise . They haven't been trying; they haven't even discussed whether or not they would ever try for more kids.
In her mind she could keep having kids until she is too old to have any more, but she isn't entirely sure how Osmond feels. Ana knows that Osmond had wanted kids of his own when he was younger, and she hopes that those feelings linger today.

When he comes over after her positive pregnancy test, Ana surprises Osmond with the news before he can even come inside.
"I'm pregnant!" Ana blurts it out a little more abruptly than she had intended. She can't help it. She's excited.
And any deep down fears she might have had that Osmond would take the news badly are wiped away immediately. His eyes light up as Ana's announcement hits him. "We're gonna have a baby?" He asks. Then gives her a great big kiss.
Unfortunately not everyone takes the news so well.
"OMG, Mom, another baby?!" Celia's tone of voice makes it clear this isn't an entirely joyous revelation to her.

Clara tries to act pleased, but as she walks away she can't help but think, Geez, Mom, aren't you getting a little old to keep popping babies out?
And Tina? Well Tina is nothing if not honest, and she let's Ana know that she thinks it's a little crazy for having another kid after already having eight. But her friend is supportive in the end; she just doesn't understand it personally. Two kids were enough for Tina.
But really the most important thing is that both of the parents to be are thrilled. Osmond constantly talks to the baby and feels of Ana's belly.
Unfortunately for Ana, this pregnancy is not going a smoothly as her previous ones. Before she would just have a touch of nausea here and there. That was it for morning sickness. I guess she is extremely lucky to have made it through five pregnancies without real morning sickness. This sixth time around she's making up for it.
She has even taken up a sort of meditative dance to try to help. It was something she read about on the internet, and she's willing to try anything. But from what she can tell, all the silly movements accomplish is making her even more nauseous.
Luckily Osmond has jumped in to lend a hand with the other kiddos. He lacks confidence in his ability to handle the kids. He's never really been around any until he met Ana, and even then Ana is clearly the one taking the lead. He's not entirely comfortable in his role as a father figure just yet, but he's trying.
He is getting a fair amount of practice, considering how tired and sick Ana is through most of the pregnancy.

During the second half of her pregnancy he is there all the time. Towards the very end he starts losing sleep. He takes advantage of his insomnia by working on some new novels he's hoping to publish soon. Not that the lack of sleep is healthy, but he couldn't sleep much more even if he were laying in bed. Worries about Ana's health and the baby buzz around in his mind making it impossible to rest, so he writes instead.
And it is during one of his insomnia fueled writing sessions that Ana wakes up with labor pains. She tells Osmond it's time to head to the hospital. He is a little more calm than Arthur had been once upon a time, but something about Osmond's reaction reminds Ana of her late partner. She feels a little twinge of sadness at the thought.
However there's little time to dwell on bittersweet memories, off to the hospital they go.

Shortly after they bring home baby Emma. She has Osmond wrapped around her tiny little finger already.
Osmond is proving to be an excellent father. He changes diapers and everything. He always has a smile on his face when he looks at his baby daughter.
So Ana is concerned when one day she notices Osmond looking sad.
"What's wrong?" She asks him.
"I'm just sort of dreading going home. Every day I come over here and everything is perfect. You're here, our daughter is here, and you know I love the other kids too. But when I head home...I don't know...I miss you and Emma."
"So stay." Ana says simply.
"I'd love to stay the night, Ana, but I always have to go back to my house sometime."

"You know, you really don't. Why can't this house be your house?"
"Can you believe he's moving in now?!"
"I know. It's like they think they're back in their twenties or something."
"Don't they think about anyone but themselves?"
"Right?! Like, what about us? Did Mom even bother to ask us how we felt?"

The girls don't even try to hide their feelings during Osmond's first week living in the house.
Osmond doesn't say anything to Ana about it, but she can tell the teen girls' attitude hurts him. She decides it's time to have a nice heart to heart with Celia and Clara.

So she sits the down one evening and invites them to get their feelings off their chests once and for all.
"It's just weird, Mom." Clara starts.
"Yeah. We don't want to think about our mother dating."
Ana let's them get it all out. She listens to their complaints for about ten minutes. The rant finally seems over when Celia says, "And you didn't bother to ask how we felt before asking some man to move into our house."
"You girls are probably right about one thing. I should have talked to you before we decided for Osmond to move in. All I can say is I'm not perfect. Your mom makes mistakes." Ana tells them.
They both seem a little shocked by their mother's acquiescence. They had not expected her understand their side.
"But I want you girls to think long and hard about the other things you said. You act like I invited some strange man to live with us. You know Osmond. I thought you liked him. She should be ashamed of how you've been treating him." Ana continues.
The girls are momentarily stunned to silence. They at least have the sense to look shamefaced.
"And for your information, no one likes to think about their parents love lives. Deal with it!." Ana finishes her lecture.
Celia and Clara, being the teenagers they are sure to mouth off and get an attitude again at some point. But Ana knows or hopes at least that they will rethink their recent behavior.
Because Osmond isn't going anywhere. And Ana for one is very satisfied with her new roommate. There are certain benefits.

Osmond is making himself right at home.
And Ana has no complaints.
Not one.
"Watcher, Ana. I didn't see you come in. Were you watching me dance?" .Says Osmond after being startled. He clearly thought he was alone
She doesn't try to deny the obvious. "I was just enjoying the show." She she says with a sly smile.

Ana wishes she were as comfortable in body as Osmond clearly is. She has worked so hard to get in shape, but this last pregnancy has set her back. And it seems like a daunting task to lose the weight again.
For Osmond's part he does everything he can to show Ana just how beautiful he thinks she is.
He is constantly showing her love and physical affection.
Then one day he surprises Ana by telling her that he has a special day planned for just the two of them. He tells her to wear the red dress from their first date, but won't give her anymore details.
